After the recent quiet weeks with no racing thanks to various storms, BRR had a busy weekend this week with parkruns, Chingford League relays, half marathons and a special cross country race at Hainault.

Tuesday’s track session was a tough one with a couple of warm up laps and sprint drills followed by 12 x 400m with 200m recovery and a cool down.

Thursday’s midweek run out was a wet one for those who took it on. The route for the night was the Green Lane loop of about 10.7k

Chingford relay runners and the 100%ers

It was a busy Sunday for BRR. At Hainault Forest there was a special a cross country race as the last two League races were cancelled. BRR put on a XC run to decide the internal Club trophies for the cross country season. A two-lap course totalling 4.5 miles was decided on with a few hills and plenty of mud thrown in. A total of 22 runners lined up at the start with Joe Stacey and Debbie Coyle being victorious in their respective races. The top three ladies for the season counting best three of four races were Debbie Coyle in 1st place on 300 points with Rosie Fforde and Charlotte Owen in Joint second with 294 points. For the men, 1st place went to Joe Stacey with 299 points, 2nd James Lowndes 297 points, and Rory Burr in 3rd with 291 points. The full results are now available on TeamUp.
